    small ball can win you games. look at the white sox.... i think our bullpen will come through. Timlin in the 8th, Paps in the 9th. now just some offense and we can win a game

    Thanx for that play by play MTB. i agree with you guys about willy mo being able to play everyday at Pawtucket. he has great potential but a play once in a while isn't going to help him out much. is he the only possibility ot play right if trot is out?why not Stern? or even Mohr(sp?)? It will be great when we have Kaplar back.... speaking of WMP taking pitches he just took a nice ball for the walk

    No, that's not what he was saying. Just that his HR's would be a little more wothwhile if they helped the team out a bit more. well atleast thats what my take on it was. but regardless he's hitting HR's.

    Very true. But, i'm here now, ready for a great season, hopefully. MTB, i think i might have missed when seatle scored the other runs, i was up and about htrough my house. It's unfortunate when runs are scored due to a hole in the defense. It sucks to be the pitcher on the mound too. Poor guy. But it's all good. I kno we won and thats all that matters.

    ya, I am. Don't sound so surprised. :harhar: I'm watching the replay of today's game b/c I was at work today and so far DiNardo isn't doing too bad. And from what i was told from some of the guys in work, the bullpen gave up a run or two. It's good to have Trot back tho. His presence was definately missed.

    Definately. I mean, at least Willy Mo made an attempt to play right field. It's a hard position to play in Fenway Park. At this point in time i'm not impressed with Willy Mo, but like someone said, it is only 2 weeks into baseball season, so anything can happen. He may just turn out ot be one of our big guns. Who knows. It's fair to say that he was a good trade for Bronson. I was never a big fan of his[bronson] anyway. I don't see how having him in our rotation would be of any help. Just as we can only speculate how DiNardo will do tomorrow, we could only speculate how Arroyo would do. He was so inconsistent. He could have one good start but then have a continuous string of horrific starts. I mean, it's hard to judge how any of the pitchers will perform when they take the mound on game day, but for some, Schilling & Beckett, it is safe to asusme they are going to give you a quality start.

    Like Wifey said, you need to give credit where it's due. Let's face it, as far as obstacles, the Yankees have overcome them. They have battled back from practically the dead. They worked their asses off to get to where they are now and it shows. What Showalter did was a douchebag move. Probably to spite Alex. lol. As far as Joe, I would have taken my players out early too. s*** we were already beating them like 6-0, f*** it might as well take out his starters and rest them for the post season. We didn't have that option because we had to win so we didn't force that monday game with Cleveland, and loosing our day off along with possibly our Wild Card spot.

    Nnot quite sure who said this, it might have been dave chapelle, but: "SHUT UP HO!" *SMACK* How can you be a diehard fan when you say the Sox disgrace boston fans? You need to speak for yourself. As a "diehard" fan you should support your team in the good and the bad. They need your support more during the bad. I'll admit that I was a little upset that it had to end the way it did with the 5 game lead we had, but hey s*** happens. Honestly, it made for good baseball. It was intense nail biting action. We got our spot in the Play-offs and now we have to make good of it. Let's go for another World Series run!

    Agreed Schill. They've both earned it in their own ways. Like it's been mentioned, DH is a position in the AL. Hitting wise, their numbers are almost identical. but then there are some that like to look at defense. Alex has made some tremendous plays, defensivly. He's not my favorite person in the world so for me to admit that it's a big thing. Papi doesn't get the time at first base so we don't really know what type of plays he could really make. Unless, of course, you refer to Schill's post... That was a great defensive play. But it doesn't count. Given the time maybe he could make more plays like that and the defense issue won't be a problem.
