    Smokey and the Bandit

Well, I got bored and found Smokey and the Bandit on Spike TV. This made me want to ask, what are some of your favorite movies from the olden days?

I have to say that Stripes, Spies Like Us, and the National Lampoon flicks rank up there in my most watched column.

Fair selection. I might point out that there are many threads in this forum regarding movies. Try the sereach function.

Hmm for me it goes Shawshank Redemption, Boondock Saints, Dumb and Dumber, Ghostbusters, Donnie Darko, The Sandlot, and more.

Aside from Ghostbusters, none of those are even remotely old time.

For me my favorite old time film, and all time film as well is Dr Strangelove.

Just thought of one more for all you war movie lovers: Patton.

I watched it with my Dad a bunch of times. As well as Battle of the Buldge (sp?). They grew on me I suppose. "Tora, Tora, Tora!" never did, sadly.

The Great Escape is one of the best old school movies.

Just because it's a rivalry doesn't mean you need to make retarded arguments.
