Wow, both teams totally blew it this post-season. Red Sox didn't have the pitching, and the Yankees were too inconsistent. The top 2 teams (preseason wise) both knocked out in the first round. Well, just goes to show, money can get you in the playoffs but it can't get you a championship.

this is what i was wishing for, sox getting eliminated in 1st round. yanks would also have to be eliminated in 1st round as well, to lessen the burden on us sox fans

I'm sure the people at FOX are excited. It just proves that pitching and defense at the end of the day win. Both the Yankees and Red Sox didnt have enough.
I wasn't going to be surprised at whoever was competing for the ALCS. And then into the World Series for the AL. The AL was WIDE OPEN. Not surprised in the least by the matchup.
The White Sox will easily beat the Angels in 5 games esp with Colon out.
I think it's good for baseball.
