Media Blitz - Germs

Now that's punk, son.

The Germs are the most overrated punk band imo. If Darby Crash didn't kill himself, they wouldn't be as "important" as people say they are. Something about them always came across as phoney to me. When I watch the Decline of Western Civilization, I feel like the Blag Flag parts are far more important to American punk than Darby pretending to be Sid Vicious.

This whole record is just fucking great. I once heard an alternate version of Falling to Pieces that had different (better?) production.

Angel Dust is still their best work, but their newest album has been in steady rotation for me since it was released.

Yeah, I like Angel Dust much more than this. It's easy to forget how good this album is. Once in a while I play a track and remind myself.
