Need the bats to show up tonight. Hit Gil

It would be extremely helpful if Abreu started hitting again.

Scoreless 1st for the Sox. Normal. Almost obligatory.

Not a first good inning. Let’s see how it goes.

Except for that last pitch to Judge, Crawford looks sharp tonight.

Need to get on top of these guys first. Make them play catch-up.

I thought the 8th pitch, a low fastball to Hamilton, nicked the strike zone.

In this series we've seen worse, and usually favoring the home team.

Devers leads off with a nice single. And Wong, like everyone in the history of Red Sox baseball (with a very few exceptions), fails to bunt.

    Might need shutout baseball.

Gil has thrown 21 pitches in 2 innings and nothing but fastballs and a few sliders--and he has been very effective against the Sox.

Crawford has also been effective with just 18 pitches in 2 innings.

I know Cora challenged Duran to play every game this year, but his bat looks tired. I could see a day off soon. I know people here hate it, but Tuesday vs. the A’s would give a two for one.

Especially since he won’t get the ASB off.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

This offense looks awful early. That’s an advantage i feel for the Yankees.

Good shit from Crawford. Let’s get those bats going.

Gil may not be all the way back to how he was pitching the first couple months, but tonight he’s not the guy of his last 3-4 starts either.
