Hanging sliders don't usually end well. BTW, Ben Rice has a slight resemblance to Howdy Doody.

Second straight game in which the ump is giving the close ones to the Yankees pitcher. But, to Cole's great credit, all 3 strikes to Devers were right on the edges.
That knuckle curve was definitely low, but called a strike. But the great one, Juan Valdez, gets the Sox first hit. Another curve, same place, to Yoshida, but called a ball.
McGuire the putz singles! Will wonders never cease.
What did moonslav say last night? All 5 rbi's came from the bottom 4 of the Sox order. Now Rafaela comes up with 2 outs and the freaking bases loaded.
Bad call on McGuire's swing. Thank goodness.
SOX offense has a 25% strike out rate, which is 5th highest in MLB.
Rafaela completely overmatched by Cole's heater. That last one was right down the pike for a big swing and miss.
Cole looks pretty decent today except for the pitch count--42 in 2 innings.
Can’t squander opportunities.
I was going to complain about that toss by Smith, but it was fine under the circumstances.
I wonder if Wink can give us 4 innings.
Can’t walk these bottom of the lineup hitters.
Finally. Winck got the call on pitch 4, but then he got royally screwed on pitch 6.
So far, just as last night, the homeplate umps are giving the Yankees pitchers the calls.
Winck is losing it. Yes, that bad call, but then a walk followed by an almost walk that turned into a single on a pitch right down the middle.
Come on wink. Geez
