The new top 100 prospects list came out and the SOX have 3. Mayer-8, Anthony-27, and Teel-37.
Another hot prospect playing 2nd base for the Portland Sea Dogs is Kristian Campbell. On another 100 top prospect list he is rated at #89.
Happy Fourth, everyone.
Just to set the record straight, the American Revolution actually began April 19, 1775 at Concord and Lexington. Two months later, June 14, the Second Continental Congress, meeting in Philadelphia, created the Continental Army, put GW in charge, and sent him up to Boston, where the headquarters of the Massachusetts militia was. That militia was the Continental Army because other colonies sent just onesies and twosies of companies. Still to be fought was the battle of Bunker Hill and finally, March 1776, thanks to the guns brought from Ticonderoga by Henry Knox, driving the British Army and Navy out of Boston, never to return.
Then and only then did the Second Continental Congress have the gumption to write and then sign the Declaration of Independence. But it still took them all of April, May, and June to screw their courage to the sticking point.
And, regrettably, the majority of those who signed pledging their sacred honor paid a severe price for telling the Crown to piss off. These people including strong women would not recognize the vampire that the Federal Government has become in our days. They would have been Red Sox fans, more likely Patriots fans in Tom Brady's days as El Jefe
Red Sox continue to leave men in scoring position in early to mid-innings. Need a break through hit when the chance is there. Duran has not been great in the first with pressuring the opposing pitcher right out off the box . He hits better later, like some others
Need some offense man.
Left side infield defense making Pivetta look a little better than he is actually pitching, but it is still a shutout in any book
Miami has two things going against them; they're bad and unlucky.
It's fun and rewarding to watch guys like Abreu learn baseball skills like baserunning at the MLB level.
Pivetta might need a shutout to win this.
Abreu is an example of another situation to watch as various guys ( Casas, Grissom, Hendricks) begin to matriculate off the IL lists in July--August . No, not you, Trevor.
When the younger players, or even Yoshida , a veteran of sorts, come back they are rarely ready to just plug in and play. It would seem to take 2-3 weeks to get back to baseball speed and reactions. The implications are that when the player is physically ready, does a team competing on the edge of the playoffs stick with who got them there, or shift back to the presumed starter quickly and risk low production for the next month, not to mention re-injury as with Casas.
FO and game management is much easier if your team is like the Marlins with a terrible record.
God the Marlins suck. So many suck teams in baseball this year.
They could not hit a barn door with a base fiddle. Worst swings and AB'sI have seen by one team all year and I have seen some bad swings this year.
