    7/02 SOX @ Marlins 6:40PM ET

    Crawford vs Bellozo(RH)

    Duran(CF)
    O'Neill(LF)
    Abreu
    Devers
    Wong
    Masa
    Valdez
    Smith
    Rafaela(SS)

Hopefully, Bellozo will be as effective as our own Bello.

    Go SOX!

    6 lefty bats.

    Good baserunning by O’Neill there.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

One more homer and Duran will have a triple double. Informed of that by the Marlins' feed.

Even w/o Rafaela in CF the SOX, imho, still have the best defensive OF in the AL.

BellOZO already with 7 K's after 3. Hard to believe there's 2 teams in MLB that have more whiffs than the SOX.

Rafaela! That's the equivalent of 3 solo HR's.

Red Sox playing beyond the competition and Crawford looking effective against a bad team. This series should be 2-1 or 3-0 sweep.. The guys just need to play within themselves and not let Miami get started

Gotta love Rafaela's range in CF and his routes, but Duran gets higher on those jumps against the wall.

Nights like this, games like this make one think, along with the 1969 Mets, "you gotta believe."

Crawford is throwing good stuff, which, I hasten to add Houck is also fully capable of doing, Winck seems capable of doing, and even Pivetta, on his good nights, is capable of doing. Bello used to throw good stuff, but he's always struggled with command of his pitches. Do not under-estimate our rotation.

Lovely single, hard hit, by Devers to drive in our first 2 runs. Also lovely--the dinger by our 165 lb weakling batting 9th and 2d on the Sox in rbi's.

I just think SPLENDIDSPLINTER brings out the best in our guys. Don't forget--in his last two outings behind the plate, Wong and the Sox pitchers gave up a total of 20 freaking runs.

No wonder Casas wanted to play in Miami.

Kelly leaks runs like a sieve.

A very good start by Kutter tonight.

A potential problem facing the SOX in the future. None of their starters, except for Pivetta, has thrown a lot of innings in the past. Cora will have to deal with this and it won't be easy. That's why I understand Cora removing Crawford with only 72 pitches thrown.

No lead is ever too much. Other than Martin, Jansen and Bernandino, this bullpen didn't really exist until crammed together over the winter and in ST. Not exactly a developmental progression from the farm system. But hired guns are ok when they pitch well.

Crawford needed a confidence rebuilder , same for the other guys too
