    6/29 vs Pads

I’m at the game. If they suck, blame me.

With ACE Houck starting for the SOX, best chance at a win in this series.

3-0, Padres. Sox right now are in a groove--no hitting and not much pitching.

How full are the stands and how do you gauge the mood of the fans?

How can this announcer say that he thinks Machado didn’t hurt Pedey on purpose.

Manny is known for being the dirtiest player in the game. He’s take out more people with slides and stepped on more first baseman’s legs than anyone in the league right now

3-0 already. Just tuned in and the game is almost over.
The descent into last place continues.

Almost never fails. When a Sox hitter steps out of the box to think about his at bat, it's because he already knows he is out and is just going through the motions. If I were the hitting coach and/or Cora, I would tell the hitters to step out only when they are ahead in the count, not behind and not with 2 strikes.

Sox still have a losing record at Fenway and a winning record in the road. Do not blame this on the fans in the stands. The real problem is with the lineup which relies way too much on those lefty bats in a ballpark which screams out for good righty bats.

Did Monaco say it or did Middlebrooks?
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

Houck threw that one right down the middle, and the Padre hitter, batting lefty, had the good sense--which the Sox lefty batters do not have--to hit it to left field. Our hitters much prefer to hit the ball to CF and RF where there is plenty of room for opposing outfielders to catch it.

Cora gave Sale his Birthday off a couple of years ago. Should have done the same with Houck. Houck has now pitched more innings in a season this year, so we’ll see how he holds up the rest of the season.

I understand the animosity towards Manny and deservedly so. Otoh, I don't understand all this love for Bogey, who actually screwed the SOX.

I thought that come from behind win last Monday night would bring momentum to the SOX. But, instead, it appears to have brought Moe Howard.
