5 straight!!!!! Thanks to Martin, Bello, the Sox, SPLENDIDSPLINTER, vegasbob, and all the ships at sea.
Vegas still holds this season's record of 5 straight. Might want to give him an extension on his contract.
Btw, Vegas, is this your contract year? I believe 5 years at 5 million would be fair.

Now that the team has 40 wins, I'll gladly accept all donations. Let's sweep the Reds

Dugo is playing CF for the Yankees and just made a terrific grab in deep CF with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the 9th. However, the Orioles still lead, 5-4.

As unpopular as Dugo was as a SOX, no one ever complained about his defense.

I did see that and sure enough the Yankees got to Kimbrel in the bottom of 9th for a run to take the game into extras.

Hope people realize I was joking on Martin. Glad he is back and it was actually an important play because the infielders would not have been able to help

By the way , Boone pulled him from the lineup when Aaron realized Dugo was wearing two chains, not just the allowed 1.

Dugo is a 'chain' of fools.

Orioles scored 2 in the 10th for the win. Twins and Royals--our competitors for wild card--both lost.

First two starters in Cincy are Crawford and Pivetta. No name listed for the 3d game on Sunday. Assuming Criswell stays out (Worcester?), the next guy up would be Houck, who pitched yesterday, so by Sunday he will have had 5 days rest.

Nice game. I watched it at a friends house, here in Portland, ME.

I'm not sure how many people said the F word, tonight.

    Fun this...

    Fun that...
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

My daughter keeps saying the Yankees did Verdugo dirty by making him shave and look like a 12 year old. But you’re saying the Yankees have even more asinine rules to adhere to…

Yes, the one chain rule was noted in Spring Training.

I'm kind of anti-beard, so the Yankee rule doesn't bother me. But overall I think beards are harmless.

The gold chains, on the other hand, strike me as vanity run amuck--and that absolutely includes guys like Mookie Betts. When I see the chains, I silently hum "I feel pretty" from West Side Story. Interestingly, neither actress who played Maria in the two West Side Story movies wore a necklace for the simple reason they had to dance.
