Bello is looking like the Houck of old. He looks good through the first 2 ABs vs a line-up, then BAM!
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

Interesting to watch Kopech K the Red Sox 2 young estrellas , Rafaela and Duran with the bases loaded in the 9th. Would not have mattered had either hit a GS because they were down by 5. Can you call tomorrow a must win ? Mostly because next will will include multiple "must loses"

You may have missed the blow-up by the immature thrower on the mound in the 5th when he gave up 5 runs, 4 after 2 outs. Cora did not have much to do with this one , having been tossed when his guy took strike 3 , in lieu of the walk he was wishing for

His recent stats over the past 5 starts are not encouraging , shows little advancement towards being a pitcher.

Literally 50% K's over past two games (27 K's), 0-10 RISP today . You can only hide this lineup for so long. Actually to only be 1 game under with this dog pile is doing well.

We knew the lineup was weak in April and if anything, injuries have made it weaker.

How do you lose 2 games to the White Sox?
    1 game sure but 2!?

That’s fine as long as you have 6 years of control of those socks.

Games like this are a real kick in the you-know-what.

When Bobby Dee accounts for your only run, you know your offense is having a bad day.

When you play a team can matter a lot. I said in Thursday’s game thread this series scares me. A team that has lost as many in a row as the Pale Hose had can be dangerous when breaks start to go their way, and sooner or later they will. They benefited today from some fortuitous ball-strike calls both on the mound and at the plate; they took advantage of those breaks.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

I am not betting against it.

What no stat padding yesterday? Against a MINOR League meatball pitcher no less who had an ERA of almost 10 before the game.🤫
