    Or he has nothing better.

Cooper, knowing full well he cannot hit, K's looking for a walk, almost begging. The difference between that approach and Valdez's is all you need to see. Cooper must be very close to the top of the DFA list when Casas returns.

Am I right that neither Smith nor Cooper passed through Worcester?

I swear Bello has the worst control/command of any pitcher for the Sox.

Nevertheless, he is persevering, and I think some credit should go to McGuire. He has a much better CERA this season than Wong, and I think it's lefit.

Now AC has Bobby Dalbec back, a relief, and 28 year old MiLB vet Jamie Westbrook on his first trip to the Show. How does that make everyone feel? The deep farm produces again.

In late breaking news, Vaughn Grissom will now be on the IL for awhile along with Romy Gonzalez. Gruesome Grissom just cannot get his legs under him.

Duran with a 2 out knock for a run after Detroit botches a 3rd out play

Sox have not allowed an unearned run in the last 13 games ? Could that be right ?

There was not conclusive evidence to overturn that steal by Cedanne. NY screws the Sox again.

To be fair, AC can only work with the players the front office gives him and right now they aren't giving him much. Plus injuries have taken Casas, Story, Matsasaka and O'Neill. They aren't great but they are better than the guys he has now. Portland Sea Dogs have the best Sox players.

To their credit this team and AC have kept their heads at or above the .500 mark with 36% of the season complete , with virtually no productive help from the FO. There is less talent available now than on Opening Day . Maybe they are developing some Dirt Dogs though.

Marcelo Mayer, Roman Anthony, Kyle Teel, Nick Yorke, Matthew Lugo and Blaze Jordan (on IL currently after hot start) could all be in Boston by 2026.
