    Olson (R) vs. Criswell (R)

    Olson's ERA of 1.92 gives him a big edge over Criswell's 4.19.

So Cora is going with seven lefty bats (*):

    Duran LF *
    Abreu RF *
    Smith 1B *
    Devers 3B*
    Valdez DH*
    Grissom 2B
    McGuire C *
    Rafaela CF
    Hamilton SS *

So we have a DH with an OPS of .447? And an OPS vs RHP of .520?

Does Cora think DH stands for “Doesn’t Hit”?

Maybe Grissom would have better luck if he tried standing in the LH batter's box and didn't swing. Ability aside, this guy is the unluckiest hitter we have seen in a while.

Starting with: traded from perennial contender to perennial pretender.

I'd rather have Ref, but Cora tends to play guys who are on the roster rather than leave them on the bench.

In a very recent interview Sam Kennedy blames the players for not achieving at the level they should be. The FO and ownership are not accountable.
The SOX players s/b very happy to hear that.

What the heck is Kennedy's job anyway ? Covering for JH ? If they want to cut the budget, start with this guy and about 40 analysts in the organization

Maybe the inside of S. Kennedy's head s/b checked for worms.

I bet Grissom, like most players, would rather start on a bad team than sit on the bench or be buried in the minors for a good one…

I think our golf obsessed announcers missed that Grissom injured his ankle/foot crossing first base on his most recent groundout

O'Brien is a weak play by play guy. NESN is so obsessed with fundraisers and other unrelated topics, they miss half the game

Meanwhile, we have to thank Enmanuel Valdez for getting us tied up in this game.

Who will be the next callup from WooSox, as Grissom deals with his new hamstring strain ? Pablo Reyes probably

We've all heard of the baseball term 'Iron Man'. The SOX appear to be loaded with 'Ceramic Men.'
