Hal sucks
Yanks, to this point, have shown a change from the last few years. Clutch hitting, contact and resilient starting pitching outside of Cole. Cortes had a bad inning, bounced back and lets NY come back. Rodon couldn’t locate, still held them down. Stroman was really good all the way through. Schmidt was dominant through 5 and Boone got a little greedy. Cabrera getting a chance has been a spark. Soto has been otherworldly. I love his approach. If he can keep driving in runs and get on base, he will score a whole lot when Judge gets back into the swing of things after his ST absence.
LeMahieu (not on the IL long!) has a fractured foot and is hopeful to be back sometime in April. Maybe? It's the Yankees so who knows!
At least the guy filling in for him is playing well.
Two more years of this nonsense with DJ though, the most overrated Yankee of recent history.
Incredible, hilarious, ridiculous and true: Yankee fans with a team jersey can have a Starr Insurance patch added to it for a mere 15 bills.

The offense is rolling now. Volpe looking like he’s poised for a second year bump. Cortes looked solid as well, although the Marlins suck
Schmidt is a 5 inning pitcher. He’s a two time through the order guy. Wicked slider, nasty sinker. Doesn’t have a third pitch enough to change his look. He’s perfect in that role. Leave him alone and stop trying to extend him beyond 5 until he has tightened up his change up enough for it to be useful.
Very pleased to see what this team has done through 15 games, especially since guys who were supposed to be main cogs in the lineup haven’t started hitting yet (Judge and Torres underperforming, Lemahieu hurt). The rotation has been really good without Cole. Adding him back in will really help. Losing Loaisiga stings the pen, but they’ve quietly been really good too.
The Yankees are the greatest team in the history of this year. None of their pitchers will break down the rest of the season, all their over-30 batters will reclaim past glory, no opponents will develop a book on their younger hitters, and Cole will be the first starter ever to overcome a sore arm mid-season and resume throwing 100 mph while taking a regular healthy turn in the rotation through November. And Verdugo will never be late.
There is legitimate confidence in New York because the Orioles don't get to play the Red Sox 147 more times.
I hate the Yankees as a thing, but they're kicking ass so far without Cole. The trade for Soto was huge.

Yankees look like a juggernaut if they can stay healthy. But that is a very big IF.
Old school is good school.
