Imanaga was already the first pitcher in Major League history since at least 1901 to go 4-0 with an ERA under 1.00 in his first five career starts. He said the velocity on his fastball was down, but starting with the fifth inning was back to normal, clocking in as high as 93.4 mph.

Another thing to consider: In any intelligent workplace, a good boss/manager would evaluate the employees and try to utilize them in the most effective way. Why can't MLB evaluate the umpires and use just the best ball/strike callers behind the plate in most, if not all, games. Pay them more if necessary. Why rotate the job to include the worst home plate umpires. Would you do that in any business ? Would Cora, trying to be fair, rotate his fielders ? ( Casas , it's your turn to play short today. Devers, you are catching because you played third base yesterday) It makes no sense.
