Decent article about NL Cy Young race-with Old School numbers and 3 different WARs!

Possible Red Sox target Blake Snell is in the mix, needless to say.

Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

Think Snell is really going to be on the radar?

It's possible. They have to spend big on somebody, I think.

It's amusing how little response there is to threads like this. Folks would rather spend pages arguing about some dead horse issue LOL

For me the useful thing here is that we get 3 different WAR scores for each pitcher.

fWAR and bWAR plus dWAR - Deserved Run Average.

Rick Porcello must be one of the all-time leaders in disparity between fWAR and bWAR. In his final short season of 2020 with the Mets he had a terrible bWAR and a very good fWAR. And he never got an offer in 2021, which was a little strange, I thought. Maybe he wasn't that interested himself, I don't know.
