    OK. Could have been worse. No big blows, but a little of clean singles. Plus Devers could have gotten a pretty good GIDP--assuming, of course, Wong would have had enough time to get the guy going to 1b. Even with that, however, I think the Phillies still get the 1 run.

    The real difference today is the Phillies starter Walker has been very effective.

    Some credit to the Phillies pitcher. He looks to me as though he as pretty good stuff today. That splitter looks pretty effective, but so are his other breaking balls.

    Now it's up to Houck to stabilize his game. He did do that in a previous start when he completed 6 innings after a mini-blow up
