Sox now in their 5tth game at Fenway ( only 76 left, get your tickets now), and have trailed at one point or the end of game 4 times and were tied at 3-3 in 9-5 win over Baltimore in game #3. Relates to starting pitchers not opening well.

That's what you get with with patch work. Crap defense

The SOX offense can't afford to cool off. I'm sure they're aware of that.

Right now , the offense is looking sluggish tonight . Not working this pitcher

Is there any possible deal for Reynolds that might tease the Pirates?

I'm thinking Ort, Duran and Wong

At 85 pitches , 2 HRs, and several hard OF shots , plus 2 out walks, I think Mr. Pivetta should be done. If he does come back for the 6th, then very short leash , one baserunner and he should be done

It's difficult to average 8 runs a game.

It's also difficult to score 9,9,9 and 6 runs and have a record of 2-2.

Pivetta wasn't bad tonight. He and Houck have been the SOX best starters, so far.

So through the first 5 starters for Boston only Tanner Houck gets a win. And the team is on a teeter totter between 2-3 and 3-2 in their first set of home games. Another come from behind effort needed , along with a shutdown BP session. Winck got that one done very nicely

Exactly what the Pirates' FO isn't thinking. But if the SOX throw in Bra Man, maybe.

With the pitch clock rule it gets late earlier.

Have to capitalize on that error , Duvall, just like vs the O's,

Can't pull the trigger on 3-2 ? Another guy who got lucky early and will ride that for the season.
