A lot of offense in this series and pretty much no pitching.

SOX still below their average runs per game so far this season.
If you hate pitching duels, ya gotta love this 3 game series.
Some encouraging pen numbers:
0.00 ERAs
3 IP Winckowski
3 IP Martin
2 IP Schreiber
1 IP Jansen
The last 3 are the big 3.
Houck may join this group, as might Crawford and/or Joely Rodriguez.
When you say it's gonna happen now

Duvall is scorching the ball, even with some of his outs!

Tiny sample sizes, but it's nice to see Yoshida reach the .400 OBP mark.

Ort's stuff is so good it makes you wonder if his RPM is down on his FB or if his issue is truly just location
Hal sucks
Bleier the only blemish out of the pen today. W for a SP. Good win. 2 outa 3, with the Pirates up next. Schedule makers did the Sox some favors to start the season. Gotta take advantage. See ya tomorrow folks.
This series was not what I expected! I thought kluber and sale would have thrown decent games and houck would get killed. Instead it was houck who threw a good game while kluber and sale were terrible!
I thought yosi looked over matched in many of his at bats.
I think the opposing pitchers have learned to attack cassas and he gets overwhelmed at the plate.
Our pitchers and catchers are terrible at holding and catching base runners!
No doubt in my mind that if the SOX can continue scoring 9 runs/game, they will be a factor in the PO's.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1
The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.
Yoshida and Casas like to work counts. They like to see what a pitcher's got, and always take the first pitch fastball down the middle.
Batters that do that drive me crazy, because the word gets around the league quickly and pitchers know they can always get ahead of them.
I used to yell from my living room at Boggs and Betts all the time for taking Strike One. And they laughed at me all the way to Cooperstown.
