When exactly do you mean?
The only thing that will force a change before the season is if the guys see considerable improvement in ST for someone or if they get eyes on someone they haven't really been able to scout in person before and it changes their opinion.

The Red Sox have traded for 25 minor league players in the past three years. They’re still waiting to get more than modest major league help from any of them, and none currently rank among their very best prospects.
What trade acquisitions could help the MLB team this year?
Wong - back up catcher, but his bat could play up at some point
Winckowski - arm would look much more potent in a relief role
Valdez - maybe he has a chance to play some 2b? it's not like there's much competition
Seabold - not really seeing it, but he had a great changeup at one point
German - if he develops a secondary pitch he becomes a late inning arm right away
RHernandez - depth catcher at best, not even the 3rd option though, bat didn't develop
Abreu - bb's, corner OF with plus arm, power bat are some of the needs this team has, but he's a late season addition at best
The list is not pretty. Many of the trades we acquired prospects for included getting a MLB player attached (Ottavino & German/ Cordero w Wink & 4 long shots/ Hosmer with Ferguson & Rosier/ Pivetta w Seabold/ JBJ with Binelas & Hamilton and Downs & Wong w Verdugo.)
Only the Valdez & Abreu for Vaz deal looks like a straight MLB for only prospects deal that might add value.

I forgot Hamilton. He has an outside chance at providing value at the end of the year because of his speed and the position he plays. However, his upside is much lower than the other guys I mentioned. Binelas isn't even a consideration at the moment.
Is Wallace now ahead of Binelas?

Matthew Lugo went 3-for-5 with a double (3), home run (6), and four RBI in last night's 12-3 Criollos de Caguas victory. The 21-year-old infielder has slashed .248/.336/455 over 117 PA in Puerto Rico this Winter. He's #14 on the #SP60.
Wallace is more likely to get a cup of coffee. Binelas really needs to turn it around. He was awful last year.
I did like Wallace. I prefer him over Wyatt Mills…

Mills did not do too well in AA (1.30 WHIP) but was sharp in AAA (0.995 with a 13.1 K/9 rate.)
I won't mention his MLB numbers in 42 IP.

In his last 10 games of the season he had a 3.18 ERA, 3.29 FIP, .612 OPSa.

It's time for Bloom to start hitting on a higher percent of deals like this. I realize this isn't the type of deal that is going to move mountains, but the flashpoint I spoke of is upon him.
