    1) I don't think anyone is doubting the game is officially called the "post season."
    2) Some are saying they don't view the game as being the "Playoffs" but rather similar to a "tie-breaker" play-in game that used to be game 163 of the regular season.
    3) Some may be making a distinction between "post season" and "playoffs." (not sure on this one)
When you say it's gonna happen now
    When exactly do you mean?

Today is Aaron Boone's last day as Yankee manager.

A sad day for Sox fans, but at least we could be part of that celebration.

    It's post-season.

The tiebreaker game 163 is, by rule, regular season. Any statitstics that occur in those tiebreaker games count towards the regualr season stats, and the win counts towards the regular season record of the teams. The 1978 Red Sox finished the regular season with a record of 99-64, and the Yankees were 100-63 that year. In both cases, those records do not add up to 162 games. In contrast, the 2019 WS Champ Nationals finished the regular season 93-69 for a total of 162 regular season games, Their victory over the Brewers in the Wild Card game did not change that record. And winning pticher Stephen Strasburg's record was listed as 1-0 in the box score, with the game not impacting his 18-6 regular season record...

I know what the official answer is, but I'm okay with people not viewing this game as part of the "playoffs," even though it is.

I said we were going to win the division and we didn't. They way underperformed in the second half but still won the top WC.

I also said this team would make the WS vs SFG. If somehow the stars align and everybody in our team play at their potential or close to it, it is still possible. Also pressure is not on this team but on others this time and it is a good handicap. They are the underdogs this time —like in 2018.

Are you also ok with people referring to a tomato as a vegetable?

That is an incorrect conclusion, since George Will is wrong in his assumption.

    No.

Losing may be upsetting to pessimists. But by definition it isn’t disappointing…

Correct. Losing is not a beauty by any means.

It is going to be a close game but I think we will win compadre.

Stupid distinction. And it is disappointing... just not unexpected.
