On regular school days, I'm exhausted when I get home and I really crash about 7 pm. It's a real struggle to make it to 10.
Since working remotely and not having to get up at 5:00 am, I have not felt the need for a nap. I'm staying up until about midnight and don't feel tired at all in the evenings.
With that said, I'd gladly go back to my usual work routine and exhaustion if it means the end of our pandemic.
Both the wife and I are working from home now and have been for a few days. It's pretty strange. But the weather in TX right now is really nice and I take periodic breaks to do some yard work. I've also fallen in love with gardening and have about 40 pots of a mix of plants and herbs and flowers which I have been working on during breaks. At least it gets me out of the house.
The eating thing I thought would be a problem as I usually can't eat something more than a couple times before getting board with it, but I've been cooking quite a bit, enough to have a variety of things to eat for a few days. Cottage Pie, chicken and leeks and mushrooms, lentil soup. Chicago hot dogs tonight. I'm actually enjoying it coming up with how to manage good food.
In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine
