Dombrowski: Wright is a good rotation option as long as we figure out what's going on with his knee. Doesn't have surgery planned, but needs to get it looked at again.

Because "not anticipating" is the exact same thing as "100% certain no surgical procedures will be required."

That's a very bold call on Price.

Luxury tax threshold not a limitation for Red Sox, Dombrowski indicates.

EFFF that noise. This is serious business.

The "Dombrowski lied to us or doesn't know if his players are even injured" conversation from last offseason was something I'm not looking forward to revisiting.

They do have some bullpen depth, but I’m not all that convinced on quality yet. The pitchers on the 40-man who constitute that depth include Poyner, Scott, Walden and Cuevas. The only one I like there is Poyner...

Didn’t one player schedule surgery eithin48 hours of that statement?

Really, the dispensation of medical status isn’t always Dombrowski’s to give. I’m sure he’s allowed to say somethings, but at some point HIPPA comes into play...

Cora says if he's ready to go, Pedroia will lead off Opening Day next year. "He's earned it." Says that'll be the only game Mookie Betts won't lead off.

I'm more into D Hernandez, Houck and Feltman. I think those guys could leapfrog the ones you mentioned in Spring Training.

And the Sox haven't seemed to worry about it lately when a lot of people on here can't stop obsessing over it.

I expect minimal movement, which makes for ANOTHER slow and boring off-season.

If the Sox can’t re-sign Eovaldi and/or Kimbrel, it could get interesting. But if he can, what’s the biggest question? Is it about offering arbitration to Smith and Thornburg?

If he re-signs Kimbrel, Pearce And Eovaldi, the biggest offseason moves might be DFAing Phillips and Renda...
