I think Sale really needs a changeup he can count on. Giving up that dinger--1 run in 3 innings--is really OK. The problem is he won't go for more than 6 and the Yankees are likely to score again. Meanwhile Severino is doing exactly what Sabathia and Tanaka did.
I will agree with Thunder on the notion that Severino is actually pitching better than Sale, but there have in fact several examples when Sale didn't get a strike called and should have and Severino got at least one call that was in the same spot.
It could well be that Severino benefitting from the simple fact that for the most part he is hitting corners far more often than Sale.
Hey Gary, that's what it feels like to be sucker-punched! Like it?? ASSHOLE!

Severino just mowed down our 3,4, and 5 hitters like they weren't there. So far he has thrown 52 pitches in 4 innings, which means he will get to the 8th inning if he keeps this up.
Does she really want to award the CY to Kluber on the basis of what he did last year in the playoffs??

That 2-2 fastball to sanchez was right in the middle.
When fans say that the umpires/refs favor 'their' team (and I've never heard them do that), then I will consider taking seriously anyone who says they do not.
Now a big pitch count because Sale is stuck throwing fastballs, which finally got hammered for dinger #2.
