    Ortiz injury update

Xrays negative. Will be out for a bit. If he has trouble running after a week or so, I'd expect an MRI or CT. Tex had a similar problem last yr and it took weeks to make the final diagnosis

As a Yankee fan, I obviously want the sox to lose. But not this way. I hope he's ok

And they are waiting to get the MRI because........? Is it too expensive? The Red Sox have a history of waiting too long to get indicated diagnostic tests, resulting in delayed diagnoses and treatment. He should be getting an MRI today if he is too sore to play. Its a harmless test and could be very informative.

I hope he's in the lineup for you.

    Keep your fingers crossed.
I got to see him hit one out in a win against the Rays last month and I'm hoping to see him one last time in Sept.
It would suck for Ortiz and the fans if this were it for him.

Ortiz WILL be in the lineup tonight. A bit surprising. Mookie is out.
