I am rather sure he was honest, mostly because he testified and never received a government penalty. I know he cheated, but I highly doubt he was still cheating

I understand that you like the guy, but he got caught in several lies. After the Mitchell Report he gave one story. Before going to congress he remembered more and changed his story. He turned on his best friend in a cowardly manner to save his own skin. He stabbed him in the back using affidavits because he didn't want to look him in the eye. And in the end the government had todrop the case against Clemens, because Pettitte admitted that maybe he had "misremembered". They tainted the moment sending a hypocrite, cheater, liar to the mound. Just my opinion. I understand that Yankee fans would romanticize the moment. They have such fond memories of 1996-2000 and are willing to overlook the fact that with a few exceptions they were teams full of cheaters and scumbags.

Find me a team not full of cheaters and scumbags going back 20 yrs and I'll call you a liar. Every team had cheaters, it is just the culture.

I fixed your quote so it is accurate. I believe that almost every team had cheaters, but the Yankees also had a bunch of scumbags.

The Sox making the World Series in a year where the Yankees don't make the postseason at all is like finding a hundred-dollar bill tangled in the hair of the woman who is currently blowing you.

    - From the 2004 ALCS Game 4 Gamethread. A reminder that no game is over until the final out is recorded, and things will always get better. Misspellings unchanged as a reminder that Yankees fans are just terrible.

I really really hope they don't. And I hope your depression from it lasts at least six months.
