    Enough losing. Win.

    Wakefield vs Morrow.

Seriously. I think we're all sick of this. Win tonight and start a streak. Do it.

Woah, this organization must be serious. That lineup looks sick... definitely the best combination this team can put on the field in any given day.

Red Sox make a bunch of roster moves

    By Peter Abraham, Globe Staff

The Red Sox have called up 1B Lars Anderson, OF Joey Gathright, SS Jose Iglesias, LHP Trever Miller and RHP Junichi Tazawa.

To make room on the 40-man roster, INF Nate Spears was designated and J.D. Drew was put on the 60-day DL.

The move on Drew is retroactive to when he last played, so he would be eligible to come off the DL in five days.

One day after throwing an encouraging bullpen session at Fenway Park, Josh Beckett will start either Thursday or Friday in the now-all-important series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

“Basically, he knows he’s going to pitch. It’s just when,” manager Terry Francona said. “If he thinks that one more day really helps, we can do it.”

Beckett (Herald photo by Matt Stone) hasn’t pitched since Sept. 5 because of a sprained right ankle. An MRI exam last week confirmed the Red Sox’ initial diagnosis that the right-hander didn’t suffer any tendon damage to his ankle or Achilles. Beckett played long-toss last weekend and threw the bullpen session Monday under the supervision of pitching coach Curt Young and athletic trainer Mike Reinold. For good measure, Beckett will meet with foot specialist Dr. George Theodore before tonight’s game.

“I think we knew he was headed in this direction, but it was sure nice to hear it,” Francona said. “Sometimes guys go out and throw and come back and said, ‘It’s just not right.’ He was pretty gung-ho that he was OK. And you get to know guys, too. When Josh isn’t right, he’ll let you know. So, when he says he’s good, that’s a good sign.”

If Beckett doesn’t pitch until Friday, rookie right-hander Kyle Weiland is a possibility for Thursday night’s series-opener against the Rays. But Francona stressed the Red Sox haven’t made any decisions regarding their rotation.
Thats fantastic news. Beckett and Lester are both lined up to pitch, and NESN is reporting that they're open to letting Aceves pick up one of the games vs TB as well. I say let Aceves pitch Thursday night, with Weiland piggy backing him if necessary, then go Beckett Friday night, and Lester Saturday night. Give those damn Rays a gutpunch and be done with this bullshit.
