Hey, a bad start. now limping into the stretch.

That suggests a possible lack of conditioning.

Which is another way of saying the management sucks.

Youkilis looks badly injured out there. He cannot seem to swing, he cannot go to his knees, he cannot dive. He looks like a wounded animal out there.

And Gonzo, we'll see if it is just tight or if he pulled it. If he pulled it, he's out till the playoffs, if it is just tight, he might be able to DH tomorrow
    Hal sucks

Looks like J.D. will go out with a wimper, carrying his big sack of money.

A lot of season tickets in that sack.

The injuries are killing this team again

Theo should call the medical and training staff and demand answers without stammer.

If JD Drew had Youkilis' drive, the guy might be a HOFer

FWIW, Tito and Gonzo both said they expect him to play today, so hopefully that's the case. The thing is, it was just nagging at him all game. It wasn't like it was one play where he dove or slid or something and he hurt it. The last play he was in, he hit a HR and trotted around the bases.

That leads me to think that it's just a minor injury, taken out for precautionary reasons, which is consistent with everything they are reporting. I don't think he'll miss a game this series, purely based on their comments and the events around the injury.

As far as Youk, you're right. The guy is killing us on both sides of the ball right now. Love him for his drive, but he's a max effort guy, and when he can't give you max effort, he's not effective.

I suggested in another thread Youks may be having a tough time transitioning to 3B coming back from an injury.

Last year, it was Ellsbury moving to LF--which was a disaster. This year, it's Youks moving to 3B. He's done OK there, but he might be having a tough time at this point in his career. 1B may have been easier for him.

Theo thinks he can move these guys around like chess pieces. It isn't that easy.
