It's not a science, but in general a top 10 pick is worth at least one or two other elite players. Kemp was taken ahead of people like Lincecum, Mauer and Ryan Howard. You should probably be getting players at that level back if you trade him.
This should be fun. I was in another league and I just got kicked out, so I'll have more time to focus on this one. I can't wait for opening day.
