lol @ a guy named Enrique Rojas getting the scoop. No Olney, Heyman, Gammons, Rosenthal or Stark
Good. Now I don't have to entertain the thought of the Yankees going in for the kill by landing Manny.
His temper tantrum and shitshow got him....$5 million extra dollars.
At my current salary it would take me about 100 years to earn $5m. I've worked my ass off over the past few weeks. Manny has refused to work, and he got more money.Originally Posted by TheKilo;386069;

Agent Scott Boras has denied that any Manny Ramirez deal is in place with the Dodgers, and ESPN has retracted their initial report.
Sort of. Enrique Rojas, who previously said it was agreed to, is now reporting that the two sides have "finally reached some common ground in their negotiations." That's ESPN speak for "we blew it, but we're going to do our best not to admit it." It's probably only a matter of time until something does get done here, and we'll trust SI.com's Jon Heyman, the unofficial mouthpiece of Boras Corp., to have the scoop.
MLB.com is finally confirming it.

I'm a bit skeptical until Boras' mouth-piece Jon Heyman confirms it
5 million more than he would have made a a Red Sox, which if you look at the present value of the deferred money, probably amounts to more like 2 or 3 million more. After taxes and agent fees, this goes down to more like 1 million more. And after the cost of living increase, Manny is a poorer man who now has images problems, and has to get up at 10am to watch football.
Rejoice, for Scott Boras looks a little dumber today.
Everybody wants a piece of me. Nobody can stomach the whole thing
PC, what's the over/under for the amount of time it takes Manny to feel "unappreciated" by the LA front office?
Statistics are like a bikini. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they hide is crucial. Aaron Levenstein
Well, not to be ironic, but usually I would say "right around when spring training starts".
