    Open the checkbook, Mr. Henry.

That seemed to be Theo's MO this draft. High-ceiling guys.

Meyer is a big time talent. 6'7" with power stuff. Very raw. Considered to be a late 1st round/sandwich round talent, but he's asking for top 5 pick money. Thats a 4 mil difference in cash. We'll see what the sox can do.

Meyer signed with Kentucky, whose coach recently resigned to take the Miss State job. Perhaps this will make things a little easier.

Sabathia will be in pinstripes by August. Either that or Dodger blue.
And considering he's 3-8 with a 4.81 ERA, I'm not sure if thats a good thing.

I was suprised Gordon Beckham fell to my Sox at 8.

Kenny also drafted his son, Kenny Jr. A little nepotism never hurt anyone .

it all depends on the cash. Meyer wants top 5 cash, meaning 7-10 mil. The sox will likely start with late 1st round money, somewhere in the 2-3 mil range. They will have to meet somewhere.

Unfortunately, Kentucky hired Cohen's pitching coach, Henerson, as its new head coach. This may have cancelled out the effect of Cohen leaving for Mississippi State.
