Joe West sucks.

Yes, yes he does.

Coco batting 5th is the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

Matsuzaka is getting spanked. Looooooooooooooooooooong outs.

Dicek is giving up rockets right now, this feels like one of those games where he battles in and out of trouble for a few innings but then finally gives it up in the like the 4th or 5th inning. This has happened quite a bit lately.

BC Youkilis with the only two hits.

It seems like Joe West umpires every freaking game I watch. And that's usually not a good thing.

TheKilo
07-24-2007, 07:14 PM
So, Coco in the 5th spot = not the best idea.

MANNYHOF24
07-24-2007, 07:16 PM
What a good idea it was to put Crisp in that 5th spot. Seriously though Crisp should be batting first or second right now, Ortiz being out really does screw with the lineup. When is he coming back anyways?

Niiice Lowell 1-0.

Tomorrow.

Awful defense by Cleveland results in a run. I'm OK with that.

Mike Lowell is the RBI fucking machine!

jacksonianmarch

That should have been an out.

It's partly my fault because I claimed rights to the thread, but I never got around to my computer until after Kilo had started it.

schillingouttheks
07-24-2007, 08:20 PM
Alrighty. Even though he's thrown a shutout, Matsuzaka has been hit pretty hard at times tonight. Oh well. I'll take it. Okajima then Papelbon to hold the 1-run lead? Yes please.

Insurance would be nice though.

Wow. A two page game thread in the 9th?????

Anyway, great game so far. I'm really not looking forward to Paps though. No heart attack saves please. Not against this team.

Please?

schillingouttheks
07-24-2007, 08:50 PM
I'm absolutely looking forward to Paps. Unlike last time, he pitched recently and in that outing he shook off the rust and dominated Thome and Konerko.

I happen to think he'll be money this time around.

Beckett vs. Carmona tomorrow. Another great pitching matchup.

61-39, back to 22 games above .500 and rightfully so, bitches. Not the most beautiful win for the Sox, but it was a good game... and a win's a win. Onto tomorrow. All is well in the world.

I'm making the next GT at 12:01.

Sounds good. I know you didn't have time to make it all glamorouth, but you thould make it prettiurrrrr for tomarro, thweet cheekth!

Yesss Sox win, 61-39. 5 game winning streak, pushing it back up to season high tying 22 games above .500

Matsuzaka stepped up big for 7 scoreless innings against this tough Indians lineup. Okajima and Papelbon, why even try against these 2?

The offense got lucky by a blooper hit but eh they faced the tough Sabathia tonight.

Tomorrow night is Beckett vs Carmona, awesome matchup. Beckett goes for his baseball leading 14th win of the season while the offense try to get to this unexpected phenom

Youk Of The Nation

Hopefully Carmona pitches like he did in the two ninth innings against the Sox last year.

Great game, a much needed effort from Dice-K and some ugly hits are just what the doctor ordered tonight.

Beckett tomorrow, make it 3 for 3 so I can rest knowing there won't be a split.

Great game. Definitely something we can build on. After the 6th, I believe there is no chance for comebacks... our bullpen is so fuking intense.

Great win tonight.

It was huge not only winning the first 2 games of the series, but beating their ace in the process. Now we've got ours going tomorrow.

Agreed, if we can keep pace with them while they are at their hottest and bombaring every team with runs, wait until Papi gets back, then Schilling, and then when they fall from their current level of performance, we will seem unstoppable.

Awesome pitching right now, just keep winning. The Yankees will have to play a team not in last place sooner or later.

That's exactly bingo right here. If the Sox can get through this tough part of the schedule, where the Yanks play creampuffs til the middle of August at or around a 5 game lead, I think it'll be real tough for them to make a run come September.

This.

The Yanks have a brutal schedule starting August 10th while we get to play Tampa Bay 15 more times. Just keep doing what we're doing and we'll be fine.

tremendous effort by lester diceK and the pen

just amazing how they handcuffed this cleveland team who did have the best home record in the league.

if the yanks are going to make a run it will be in the next 2 weeks
if we can clear the next couple of weeks and remain 4-5 up we got em
