well it was a nail biter for the yanks after being up by 6 runs in the 5th i believe, they find themselves down a run facing the very tough nathan. Then big sheff and ruben sierra come through.

yankees=best closer busters. Think about it, giambi hit a hr off gagne, would have ended the streak if they were only up by 1 run. back to back hrs off trevor hoffman to make him blow a save, and now nathan.

my standing on the AL MVP has just changed from vlad to sheff, bad shoulder huge hrs tonight and 30 all together.

sheff... haha! ortiz or manny come before him, then theres vlad, and pudge. the yankees have the hitting. if you took sheff away, they would be in first still. if you took manny or ortiz away we wouldnt be first in the wild card. if you took vlad away the angels wouldnt be in the wild card race. if you took pudge away from the tigers, theyd be just as bad as last season.

i dont agree with u on pudge. and yes the yankees still win championships even before sheff and a-rod came so they wont win. vlad will get it. if we are saying the same things we did last year about this year, there is no reason ortiz or manny shouldnt have gotten it last year. vlad has turned that team around like notihng. remember that golf HR? that thing was at his feet and he took it YARD.

now to pudge...they got good arms in their pen, and i think even without pudge they wouldnt have done as bad as last year because its pretty much impossible to repeat a performance like that.

I would be very surprised if its not sheff. It's phenominal how clutch he is, a HR to tie of nathan! He shoud get it just for that lol. He's also playing through a bad shoulder injury. A true warrior how deserves MVP. If he was healthy, he has 15 more hrs than ortiz and the cut off man. They dont deserve it, manny just takes random days off, and ortiz forgot about his team and just had a fit.
