Schilling-10-4, 3.24
Thomson-6-6, 4.69

Thomson sucked this year, and Schill has been nasty. if we dont win this game, i will not feel confident in this team ever again. ortiz and manny have been the only reason why most of these games have been close. i hope some other players can step up to the plate, and produce some runs for this team.

Note to Defense- CATCH THE DAMN BALL

I don't think TBS is covering this game so luckily I can take a break. But the law of averages, and pitching match-up, suggests a Red Sox win. And handily. I sense good news coming. If not, I'll be pushing the panic button.

The defense hasn't made an error in the last 2 so I don't know why your telling them now to catch the ball.

because they suck on defense, they were decent the last 2 games but i still am not over the yankees series. i just thought they might need a reminder

We need a win now or else. We're gonna fall behind the Devil Rays soon unless we start winning. Some things looked like they came together last night despite the loss, so we should be able to eek this one out, right?

If the Sox can't win tonight it might be time for Russian roulette.

We'll after going 0 for 8, Manny hit two bombs in the third game of the Yankee series and gave us a 3-2 lead with an RBI in last night's game. He's a legitimate MVP candidate.

Curt is so damn obssessive about pitching complete games.. we'll here's his chance. All our decent guys are tanked and we'll lose with the fresh ones (See: A-Mart last night). Foulke doesn't blow saves like that if he isn't drained. Timlin has been used is about every game this week, Embree can't ever been trusted to do anything but throw 90 mph down the middle, although he was good last night. To make a long, bitchy post short, this is the right time for a CG from Curt. He can win with the pathetic run support he'll most likely get.

I want someone to tell me that I was right about Nomar being back last night. 3-4, with his one out being a ball that he hit pretty well.

Should Tek worry about his role?

I wonder if Tek was benched because he was slumping and because of his altercation with Schilling.

I love Curt Schilling. It's no longer "Pedro and pray for rain...", it's "Schilling, Pedro and pray for rain..."

Huh? Mirabelli's been doing that all year when he plays.

manny is a God.

DOUGIE

thats what we needed.

They said varitek was out because he played two extra inning games back to back.
The way he has been swinging the bat, he can sit for awhile.

As far as I can see that was one of the first times we had the lineup I thought we'd have all year.

It was a beautiful thing to see that stiff mIllar and bellhorn in the dugout.

I agree Life is complete!

Billy Mueller's looking pretty good if you ask me. He adds a lot to the lineup.

I was actually at this game. Very exciting, and it was cool to be part of the biggest crowd EVER at Turner Field. Proof once again that Sox fans are the best in the world. Also, there was a fireworks display after the game that was very impressive. God bless America.
