i found this over at SOSH, and the person says they have heard from a reliable source...and if it doesnt happen for the thread to be closed (the thread on SOSH) and this is what it would be

Sox get: Odalis Perez and Carlos Delgado
Jays get: Cesar Izturis and minor-league pitcher
Dodgers get: Nomar and Kim

The Jays have already had Cesar Izturis and it has to be more than just one minor league pitcher for the Sox to get that much.

YanksHater,
The salaries would balance out. Delgado's a FA after this year too....the only thing this solves is getting Nomar out of town. You gain 2 pending free agents and lose 1.

It seems like a small price...but then again it's 2 rent-a-players....

Who knows, you may impress Delgado enough (by moving him to a playoff contender), that he may resign to a new contract after the year has expired.

I like this deal. Wonder if it will actually go through.

Perez scares me with his latest injuries....

Have there been any updates on that?

He's questionable for his start today and likely not making it, but he'll be OK for the next one.

As long as it's not a long-term thing. The last thing this team needs is another key player on the DL
