Official NCAA Tournament Contest

Alright March Madness is one of my favorite sports events of the year and there will be a contest to settle once and for all who really knows the most about College Basketball on talksox. It's pretty simple actually. There will be a private group on Yahoo! Sports and everyone can fill out their own bracket and whoever gets the most points will win $100 (courtesy of Sox Fan on Cape).

The maximum number of people in this contest is going to be 50 as that is the most Yahoo will allow, if we don't get to 50 by Friday March 10 at 10 PM we will open the contest with as many people as we can get. When we do get to 50 I will PM the info to everyone who expressed their interest in this thread. When signing up in Yahoo please make your pickset name your username on the site just so it will be easier to tell who is who. To be eligible for the contest you must have 50 posts.

So below just post that you want to be in the group and the first 50 people will be PMed the info and will have a chance to win $100.

I have a feeling I forgot to mention something so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

It is weighted. The first round is worth 1 point per game while the National Championship is worth 32 points.

I there a rule that any team I picked today that plays in a tight game has to completely shit the bed down the stretch? Tennessee gives up the lead on a 12-2 run late in the second-half and limps in for the loss. That one didn't hurt too bad because I didn't have them winning another game, but the other one does. Well, because of Bradley, UNC losing, GTown beatin Ohio St., and Wichita St. goin on this run i got 42 outside of this contest.

However Memphis should stand a better chance of gettin to the Final 4, with Bradley and UCLA/Zags in their way. BC's real task is againt Nova, and then against the winner of FLA/GTown if they win. UConn should be able to get to the Final Four, I have no worries about them. And Texas is lookin strong goin into the 16, and hopefully can beat Duke if LSU doesn't, which I have slated in my bracket.

Another pool I was in I would have won if it wasn't for Gonzaga losing. I ended up losing by 1 freaking point, so the Zags would have made me the sole winner of $1700. I want to write a letter to Adam Morrison stating the following: "Your team's catastrophic collapse in the second half single handedly cost me almost $2000, yet you're the one crying like a little bitch. You're going to make more playing this game for one year then most of us will make in our lifetime. I will expect payment of the money that you screwed me out of in the form of a cashiers check at your earliest convenience. And shave, because you look like a fucking hobo."
