Milwaukee ace Ben Sheets is eligible for free agency after next season, but odds are slim the Red Sox will be able to land the right-hander. General manager Doug Melvin said he won't trade Sheets, and the team wants to re-sign him if possible. ``You can print that Ben Sheets is untouchable,'' Melvin said.

the brewers will throw EVERYTHING they can at sheets, they have a pretty low payroll, they might be able to keep him.

Ben Sheets is my favorite player, Red Sox or non-Red Sox. I'd love to have the Sox get him. He's simply amazing.
