He's going to get skull fucked in the AL, he never has had a year like this ever, even in that football stadium.

hahahahahahhahahahahaha, i love that new avatar crespo. as for pavano, i think he'll be on tract to be a decent pitcher. i don't think he'll ever be sub 3 era. but i think he'll be a 3-3.5 era pitcher for most of the rest of his career.

i think he got what he deserved if he can stay below the 3.5 era range.

If we had signed Pavano, all of you would be saying he's better than Pedro and that we don't need him anymore. Pavano is a good pitcher and the Yankees made a good signing.

Exactly.

They say Pavanoverrated on BDD, and before they were saying that we should get him.

Never liked Pavano, never will.

Pavano will be good depending how the fans embrace him, if they boo him expect bad results EX: Vazquez and Weaver, if they support him I expect him to do well.

I didn't and still don't get all the hype over a guy who had one good year. I always thought Radke was a better fit in Boston. So now Theo tries to hook Hudson.

I've got total faith in Theo, he's lead us to a world series. If he thinks Renteria is a good fit, then by all means, he'll probably be a good fit. Sure people make mistakes, but Theo is Theo, I always think he'll get us there.

like i said, as long as he posts a sub 3.5 era during his contract years he'll be a good sign.

I think we've all gotten worked up over this here. It's Carl Pavano we're talking about, lets not forget that. Here he goes and signs a superstar contract, just because he's the hot item over the off season for some reason I can't begin to understand. Everyone seems to be caught up in it too. To be honest, the only thing I knew about this guy three months ago was that we traded him for Pedro. And now, semi-ironically, it seems like we've done that again.

It's a good signing for the Yankees. He's young, and pretty good. At worst he'll be a solid #3 or 4 for them (although he'd be a #2 probably on most teams). I would have preferred that the Sox get him over Boomer, but what can you do?

I read in the new york post (citing the source)--that there may be a snag in the wright siging, but I think they vastly over paiod pavano and he will likely by a #3 guy.

I like wells and he'll be fun as shit to watch against the yankees, that's for sure.
