... I realize the season isn't over but I can't stop thinking about one play in particular.

Jacoby Ellsbury's straight steal of home against Pettite. That was freaking awesome. Anytime I get down and out about how the Sox are playing, I watch that video about 20 times and feel redeemed.

Yours?

That's about the only good highlight against the Yanks besides Youk's homerun in walk-off fashion.

Ellsbury stealing home.

Also that sick double play Nick Green made I think it was against the Nats

Ellsbury stealing home has to be #1, although there were several pleasant surprises (though maybe not single plays):
Clay Buchholz's resurgence.
Dice-K's first start back.
Victor Martinez's off the bench go ahead double with the bases loaded against the Orioles. (that was AWESOME) - I'd put this at #2.

Ellsbury's steal was great. His full out diving catch on the warning track was nice too. And FNG's DP was something spectacular:thumbsup:

Jacoby's steal of home was awesome.

Another great play this year was Drew's game saving catch vs the NYY in the 14th inning.

It would have been better if we won the game.

Ellsburys steal of home, then Bay's home run off Mo in 9th to tie it.

Actually, I'd probably agree too. Ellsbury's steal was great.

Yeah, this year has been full of great things. Dice K's return (finally), Nick Green's work in the infield, Julio Lugo getting traded to the Cards ( ha ha), Clay B's return (In great form), and seriously... Jon Lester has been AWESOME.

Next to Ellsbury's straight steal, I have to say the best thing the Sox have done is acquiring V-Mart!

Two different games.

He means as Ells's being play number 1, and Bay's being play number 2, not that they happened in the same game.

Oh, ok. Well then I think the poster beneath him thought that way.

Ellsbury is a helluva player. Wish he would walk more, though, leading off. He's like Rondo of the Celtics. Almost a superstar.
Youks is a superstar. Bay might be--but he had that coma mid-year. That will cost him some on his next contract.
My choice? Victor Martinez. Monster numbers since coming to Boston. Tito playing Tek at this point is laughable. The Red Sox make some brilliant deals and non-deals (Buchholz comes to mind), and then do some very strange things on the field.

Yeah, probably could of been worded better.
